This is shit you only fantasize about on your loneliest nights. Never could I have imagined one breezy summer evening, stuck in an overnight shift I'd picked up and couldn't get out of, could've changed my entire life. I was your average 30-something recent divorcé. I'd spent the last dozen plus years in a loveless marriage and was ready for alone time. Me time. I was ready to dive into my life after being a mother 100% of the time to my 16 year-old son. I was ready to be free and sick of "love", wanted nothing to do with it. I just wanted to love myself.
