"I didn't ask to be here! I don't think you should accuse me of something out of my control. I don't know why I'm here." I said, feeling upset that he didn't believe me. He looked at me with a stern look as he held his head high. He sighed and slumped a bit before gazing into my (e/c) eyes. As he stared into my eyes, I noticed that he seemed to understand. Just as I was about to turn on my heel, he did something that I was not expecting. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to his chest, wrapping his arms around me. It took me time to register what happened before I realized one thing-he does care under that hard shell of his. Just as I was about to return the embrace, he brought a hand to my chin, lifted my head to look at him, and leaned in close to my face as his lips brushed against mine. I could feel my face burning just because our faces were this close. I could feel his breath on my lips, and it tingled. He closed the gap and pressed his lips ever so gently on mine. Sparks were sent from my lips down to my core as our lips moved in perfect sync. I didn't want to pull away or let this moment end. (This story takes place a couple of years before Smaug takes Erebor.)
