This fanfiction is an original story set in the fascinating world of J.R.R. Tolkien. You will find Elves, and Orcs, and Sauron and all sorts of other wonderful monsters of Morgoth. Set in the Second Age of Middle-earth and following the quest of two young Elves as they search for something that will change the course of the world. By 1500 of the Second Age, Celebrimbor and his people, along with the help of Annatar, a Maia who claims to be sent from the Valar, have created 16 Rings of Power. However, Celebrimbor comes to the realization that Annatar is actually Sauron in disguise. In secret, Celebrimbor goes off to begin a task, the likes of which no one has attempted before, while Annatar goes South to Mordor. This tale follows the story of two young Teleri Elves: Feänen, a skilled smith who worked alongside Celebrimbor, learning from Annatar until his departure, and Lothwen, an Elf-maid who would rather dwell alone by the sea, speaking with trees and deepening root and herb-lore than be involved in a dangerous mission. Celebrimbor's task is a secret; not even Gil-galad or Círdan know for certain what he is attempting, but they know Celebrimbor cannot do it alone. Gil-galad selects two skilled, young Elves who will be little noticed to him. These two are Feänen and Lothwen, and he sends them to Celebrimbor to aid him however they can. In turn, Celebrimbor sends them on a perilous mission that will take them to a place haunted with ancient terrors in search of three beautiful things: Water, Air, and Fire.
