Shadi, a black South African girl moves to, America, for a fresh start. Trying to move on from her dark past, she finds an escape in her dancing.

Enrolled in the dance academy of the states, she deals with the issues that plague every dancer and black woman. In need of funding and desperate for something to live for she enters a dance competition.
