In this world, people look at alphas and betas as strong types. The omega is considered the weak type. As an aspiring Hunter, Gon wants to take the Hunter Exam and prove that omegas like himself should be considered equal.

On his path to prove such, he meets new friends. Kurapika the Beta, Leorio the Beta, and Killua the Alpha. He also meets others that try to take advantage of him such as the Alpha's, Hisoka and Illumi. Gon realizes that at least for now, he needs to conceal his heritage and pretend to be a beta, even if it means that he must lie to his friends.
