Ira Morozov and Natasha Romanoff met at the Red Room Academy, a place where they trained women and girls to be the world's deadliest assassins and best spies.

During their time at the academy they grew incredibly close due to being their best recruits and their growing feelings for one another, which made graduation hard.

If you saw another graduate in the real world outside of a joint mission there's only one thing for certain, that you were either tasked to kill them or they were tasked to kill you.
