Cassandra Ainsworth is a 300 year old vampire. She returns to Mystic Falls to visit Zach Salvatore, an old friend of hers, only to realize that things have changed. She then meets Klaus, the Original hybrid, and his family, realizing that one of her old friends, Kol, belongs to the same family. As she gets more and more involved in their family problems, she realizes that her feelings grow. But to which brother?
