*COMPLETED* 1979. After Tommy helps his cousin Jesse and his boyfriend escape the religious and homophobic town Evanston in Utah, his parents send him to conversation therapy, thinking he too is interested in the same gender. Without much arguing, Tommy agrees, thinking he will just spend three months of his life away from school, coming out the same, because he is, in fact, only interested in girls. But when he arrives and meets Kenneth, a boy he remembers from his school, things start to change and Tommy realizes, that he may not leave this place being the same after all.
