'I love you' means a lot until the man who said it gets engaged to someone else. The pain of Christmas 1967 hasn't been forgotten by Mallory, but the happiness she shared with Paul before that hadn't left her mind either.

Nearly 9 years later, show business brings them together through The Mallory McCain Show. Despite being in committed relationships of their own, they find themselves gravitating towards each other with each passing day. However, they both come to discover that unresolved issues could easily blow out the twin flames. One wrong move and they could grow into lonely old people who never had a firm grip on true love.
