Steel grey eyes pierced through mine, analyzing my every move and trying to strip me down to all my insecurities. His head tilted to the side slightly, mouth pulled down into a frown as he locked his jaw. "You wouldn't. You can't. You just can't." his hold on the blade tightened, eyes blazing with fear and hope, desperation swimming behind his irises. "You know I will, and you know I can." my hold on my own blade tightened, jaw locked and my mind clear. I have one simple objective. Save them. With warm chocolate eyes in my mind, I picked up my blade and darted forward. His eyes remained open as he fell, mouth tilted up in a true smile. I swiftly caught him, kneeling over him and cradling his head, softly, brushing through his soft curls for the last time. "Thank you." his voice barely raised above a whisper, hoarse as tears steamed down his cheeks. "Thank you. I love you." his hand reached up, fingers barely brushing my cheek before his hand fell limp. I choked back a scream, gently brushing his eyelids closed. My lips curled up in a soft smile, studying his peaceful face. I raised my head to the sky, tears cutting angles on my face.
