Description

“Let’s be friends,” he says. “Friends?” I try not to sound so disbelieving. People don’t usually ask to be my friend, they usually ask for my autograph. “I like you, and you look like you could use a friend.” “I look like I could use a friend? I have several, you know.” “Yes, but not one like me.” He smiles and runs his fingers through his hair. “Why are you so special, then?” I perch on the wide ledge of the window. “My hair,” he says, pulling on a lock. “None of your friends have hair this shiny.” I laugh. It feels good. “Ok, I’ll be your friend because of your hair.” The destruction of Moon Base Delta left Luna Reed without her family and without a home. Ten years later, all she wants is to move on, and to no longer be the poster child of this tragedy. But when Luna takes a job on a space station, she realizes that her past may be more consequential than she realized. And when is seems like there might be more to the story than she originally thought, Luna will have to dig deep into her past-no matter how painful it is. A story about life and loss and the descent into madness.
