Chapter One

Finding a match for love in 13th century Japan is difficult as a strong-willed and defiant princess, which is exactly why the emperor makes a match for Yua after several failed attempts to choose a husband for herself. The emperor consults his wise matchmaker who discloses the name of her future husband. This husband could ruin his daughter and the emperor's reputation unless Yua can overcome the hardships entailed.
