All of Klaus' decisions are terrible. He knows this. But when Dave gets shot in the shoulder in the middle of a heated battle, he knows exactly what terrible decision he has to make. For Dave to survive, Klaus has to bring him back to 2019. And Klaus will do whatever it takes.
