"What was momma like?"

My heart stopped beating for a split second and my eyes widened like I just witnessed another murder.

"Dani I-"

"I know you don't like talking about her...but please. I want to know about my momma." She says not breaking her gaze.

I let out a broken sigh and ultimately decide to tell her about Billie. She deserves to know more than just "she was a singer". Dani's look tells me that she's waiting. Waiting for me to tell her.

"Um...well, it all started when we were 16..."
