Jade was the normal nerd. Always getting picked on by others in her pack, but never beaten. Werewolves weren't cruel enough to do that. She wasn't all that surprised when her mate was the next Alpha and she was rejected. Everyone had read the stories. Cliché stuff like that. She was hurt, to say the least. But it was overwhelming to see him with a different girl every night. So, keeping with the cliché theme she ran away, only to come back as the best fighter on the world.
