Six-year-old Ruby Rose and her sister have dealt with a traumatic past after a new species of the Cordyceps emerged now infecting humans and Faunus. Over the past years of their childhood, they planned to stick together as their hometown slowly tore apart to the point where they had to evacuate the kingdom and the continent itself. As their loved ones and their life on Patch started to tear apart right before their eyes, the girls promised themselves to stay by each other's sides till the end. But will their promise be kept? Now the Petal is fifteen and is attending a military school in Mantle with her sister. But due to the age gap of the two, they won't be able to see each other much often. Ruby wasn't alone for long, she made a friend named Oscar Pine who eventually ran away from the school only to come back before joining the 'dangerous' tribe of the Dragonflies.
