Author's Note

Liam Romaine watched the world he once knew crumble before his eyes. Fires ravaged the land. Enemies and allies alike dead on the ground. He tightened his hold onto the sword in his hand and took a step towards the fallen villain. Liam could hear those close to him shouting at me to do it. He looked at the person on the ground. They glared at him with gritted teeth.

"Do it." They growled, blood trickling down a cut on their face.

Liam raised his sword and swung.
