"In the eddas and sagas, there are several different types of magick described that various magick practitioners would use. However, as you will notice, the lines get blurry between the different types, to the point where sometimes the differences are indistinguishable. Please note that while most forms of Norse magick is considered to be a woman's art (meaning that very few men practiced it), modern day heathenry no longer considers such gender roles to be in place and anyone can practice (meaning you won't get insulted as being argr for it; restrictions such as the völva being a role for a woman are still in place, although as a upcoming post will point out, the völva is not the only practitioner of Norse magick)."
