When a new boy joins the glade, the community is forever shaken. Marty, the only girl to ever be sent to the glade is also the only one who remembers why they were all sent there. She tries to help Thomas adjust to his life in the glade by keeping her closest companion Gally in check. The longer Thomas gets used to being there, Marty starts to question why he's truly there along with Gally.
