The Cast

"I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me you don't want me." He says, his hot breath aggressively fanning my face from his harsh breathing, and I have to fight the urge to just lean in. "Tell me that these past couple of weeks meant nothing to you." He continues, but I don't say anything.

"Tell me you don't have feelings for me, that you don't want me." His words are rushed, but his voice is laced in thick emotion.

"Say it." He challenges me.

Feelings were messy, complicated, hard, painful. That's why I shut them out. That's what I should have done in the beginning.

I swallow the lump in my throat and against every fiber in my body, I force out-

"I don't want you."
