MONSTERS & SIN SERIES 1 The existence of monsters weren't always known to humans -they hid themselves and stayed legends to be scared of in small villages like mine after the sun goes down. The things that made people go missing, with no trace or words left behind. Then they ingrained themselves into our world in a matter of years, taking full control. Nobody from the before-monsters time is still alive. It's been too long. Living in a world with monsters is easy, as long as you obey the rules. 1. Don't talk before they talk. 2. Don't touch them. 3. Don't go into their homes or space unless ordered. 4. Don't mention their marks. 5. Don't say no. 6. Don't interrupt their words or actions. 7. Don't show pain, weakness or fright. 8. Do what they say. 9. Keep your head down. 10. Never insult them. Possible reactions to breaking any of these rules include rage, risk of injuries and homicidal impulses they choose not to ignore. Though when I met my monster, held him at arrow-point I didn't get an ounce of rage. Didn't get hurt, unless you count falling down that hill. I definitely didn't get killed. I just got a smirk. - - - "Us monsters have a slightly different way of saying 'love at first sight.'" He says, smirking while leaning into me. "Lust at first bite...and you have that covered."
