Beatrice Prior is a sixteen-year-old girl who just wants to know where she belongs in life. When she finds out she doesn't belong in just one faction she doesn't know what to do besides stay in Abnegation with her family.

One day she meets a mysterious blue eyed boy who recruits her in a mission to help save the city from a war that has been brewing for years.

Her city hates what she is but she may be their only hope.
