(Trigger warning: suicide, rape, drugs, abuse, drinking.) Big John disappeared 11 months ago, almost a year, lost at sea. Little John, John B., and his girlfriend Sarah Cameron disappeared less than a month ago after being chased by Ward Cameron out to sea in a storm. A storm everyone knew they couldn't live through. After weeks of searching, John B and Sarah are being rumored to be on their way to being legally dead. JJ Maybank, John B's best friend since the third grade is on the verge of death himself. Going on without his best friend, watching his other two best friends, Kiara Carrera and Pope Hayward being together, even though he loves Kiara, it's eating him alive. AJ Callis-Routledge, the younger sister of John B., lives in Texas with her horrid mother. Finally, she pisses off her mother just enough and is sent to live with the father she's never met. The same father that's been lost at sea for 11 months, but neither she or her mother knew. Sent out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, she finds the place she's supposed to be living. Instead of finding a father and brother, she finds a blonde boy in tears with a gun pointed to his head. In the time of need, will AJ be the shoulder JJ needs to cry on? Or will she be the reason he pulls the trigger? "You don't even know me!" JJ shouted at the girl he thought he loved. "What are you talking about?! JJ, I've been here, ALWAYS! I've been here since the day I found you with a gun pointed to your head!" AJ shouted back. Kie and Pope exchanged looks of fear and worry shouting JJ's name. "What is she talking about?" "JJ?!" But JJ's eyes never left hers. "I should've just pulled the trigger the moment I saw you. And honestly, at this point, I don't care if that damn gun was pointed at me or you."
