PROLOGUE

Growing up as a young black teenager is rough. And nobody knows that better than Malik Moore. Hell, there are drug dealers right across from his apartment. So he tries to keep his head down to get out of the neighborhood alive.
But when one of his friends gets shot at a party, Malik thinks there may be a bigger play at hand. In a desperate race against time, Malik tries to stop the death of another, while also preventing his neighborhood from turning into an all-out warzone.
