In a world where Abortion has been banned. The United States of America has joined the FSA. The Fundamentalist Society Act. The United States of America has now become a Fundamentalist country, ran by a Fundamentalist government. And they have now ruled that a woman's ability to make reproductive choices is an act of danger to herself and others. Despite taking away free will, forcing women to continue pregnancies against their will, rising uncontrollable birth rates, abandoned newborns, and environmental instability. The fundamentalists of America continue to uphold the very laws they intended to ban while sustaining their religious beliefs as the one and only truth that should govern all. Meanwhile, seventeen-year-old Sekani is burdened with caring for her intellectually disabled mother who was raped in order to give birth to her. While she discovers the true intentions of the society she lives in, and the cruelty that hides behind it. She decides she is determined to survive this vile, terrifying world she was forcefully brought into and perhaps even spark a flame of rebellion into it... if she can be convinced.
