Percy was a less than average girl of the 1930s in the fact that, unlike other girls, she wanted to join the army. And join the army she did! Her brother Bucky join the army just before her, but her best friend Steve couldn't get in. She and Bucky protected him from bullies. But now, that's irrelevant seeing as things went south.
