September Morning

Isa Piper wakes up to find herself completely alone on the campus of her country boarding school. Everyone else has simply evaporated: students, teachers, staff. Are they playing a cruel trick on her? Did something terrible happen during the night? There are no farewell messages from friends, and no signs of struggle or disaster -- save that every phone on campus is dead. Desperate, Isa strikes out to find help in the nearest village... only to realize that someone has been waiting for her on the road.
