Chapter One - Picture This

Mel wants to move to California, much to the disappointment of her Thai mother, who tells her that if she wants to move to the City of Angeles, their mother-daughter ties will be cut.

Beau's mother is a selective woman who is hard to please. No matter who her son dates, she does not approve of them, bringing Beau's relationship count to a staggering number of 12.

The two very different people find one another and discover that they have a common goal: freedom from their maternal figure. The hopeful girl pairs up with the Californian resident in a Paid Partnership deal which establishes them as a couple in order to win them their desired freedoms.
