{Preface}

You looked up into his eyes as he stared down back at you. You gazed into his eyes, deep into the dark abyss of his orbs, as your breath hitched, and your body froze. He smirked, his eyes piercing into yours as if he was peering directly into your soul. You could feel the aura he had surrounded himself with.
You shuffled a bit in trepidation, feeling him smile ever so gently against your smooth skin. You trembled and closed your eyes. He backed up, and then harshly lifted your chin up and looked into your fear-filled eyes once more. His eyes almost glowed in the darkness, his figure towering over yours.
If only you had known... He knew you would come here. And coming here was certainly a mistake. Anything with the idea of pursuing your dreams, your goals, your aspirations; it had been a trap all along. Every experience, every step, every word spoken... it had all been part of something greater.

You find out Chrollo was a certain man from your past, and become associated with him. But you caught Hisoka's eyes, as he became interested in determining you. Although you were absolutely nothing to him, or at least, you weren't supposed to be. What do either of them think of you? What does Chrollo realize after reuniting with you? And what deeper story does all of this tie into, as you, the protagonist, fight an internal war to pursue your own goals and ideals? How do all of your relationships and experiences tangle into a deeper situation? ◀
