Goodbye Louisiana

Wealthy southern girl, Nellie (Nell) hates her lavish lifestyle, the dresses, the help, the lack of freedom. One summer, her family takes a business trip to the one and only Manhattan, New York. For the three months that they're there, Nell's parents expect her to find a job to learn hard work and loyalty, as she'll be running their New Orleans plantation with her respective husband one day. When they said this, they meant for her to be a seamstress, maybe a maid for Joseph Pulitzer or William Randolph Hearst. Little did they know she ran off with a bunch of Manhattan newsboys and even one from Brooklyn.
