Hardening is not really Kirishimas Quirk. His quirk is a much rarer one that may occur every 1000 years. His hardening was only a side of his actual quirk, by which he became a vampire. But unfortunately, being a vampire is not so easy and so he has to look for his soul mate without whom he dies.
