Chapter 1

I remember that first feeling of absolute fear. I expected to see a doctor or maybe even my mom comforting me; someone giving me a reasonable explanation for the pain in my wrist, but instead I heard the small humming of the machine looming over me. Something was extracted from my arm. I reached up to find out what had happened and there, engraved into my skin, was the number 7.
