Prologue

Maxwell Shadow, the insane, the harbinger of end times. Trapped in a dark world of shadows, Maxwell wants to be free. But his curse means he can only escape from his so-called "Life" if he can fall in love. It's easier said than done though when you're known throughout the country as a freak.
Then Rayne Angelus walks into his life, and things start to look up.
