It's too late for him to be saved, after everything he has done. If he really could be saved, he would have been 34 years ago. 34 years until he saw the light again. 34 years until he was found, and given a new home. But he was yet to find his salvation, the Tangerine to his Aubergine. But not all that glitters is gold, and not everyone can be trusted.
