Everyone always called him Pinky. But now, he's at a new school, and he's going to make sure no one ever calls him Pinky again. Meet Jade. Jade doesn't belong in a small town. While half of his classmates at his old school in southern Indiana had hick accents, rode tractors to school, and hated "the gays," Jade knew he was destined to be a city boy. When his mother told him they was moving, he was excited. He dreamed of moving to Los Angeles or NYC, but unfortunately he had to settle for Indianapolis. At his new, elite public school, Jade is suddenly surrounded by hundreds more students than he is used to. While the bigoted rednecks still crawl through the halls of his new school, Jade is excited to befriend the other progressive kids like himself. He knows he has to stand out in a good way in this school. That's when he meets Jared. Jared is the social outcast who only ever wears black sweatpants and black sweatshirts. Even Jade's new friends think Jared is weird. But Jade knows what it's like to be the outcast. Still, he enjoys his newfound popularity, and hanging out with Jared could tarnish that. But what happens when Jared has more secrets than Jade expected?
