Description
It matters not whether you wear a crown, plough fields, or wear God around your neck. Everyone sustains the Garden of Blood. It is said that many eons ago, the greatest of men rallied the people under one Silver God and ruled as emperor. Legend has it that he was so favoured by his god that his touch could heal any mortal wound. Centuries later, few would share this gift, a sign that one was graced by that same god. Through this power, those who followed the emperor of old united the land under one church, the Silver Church, its absolute might stretching across the six kingdoms that arose from its shadow. The land was not completely united however, as to the south, the native stewards of the earth who called themselves Illuri continue to resist their pink-skinned persecutors. At the heart of this conflict is Nodalen, a princess that must prove she is worthy of her ancestral name, Clay, an orphan boy trained to serve the Silver Church with his life and sword, Mary, an Illuri child living in Palasia and facing against forces she is too young to understand, and Liwani, the living deity worshipped by the southern tribes, who had promised the safety and survival of the Illuri. As the kingdoms and the tribes fight to claim the continent, ancient and dark forces stir, threatening to steep the realm in chaos and death. Its sinister mission could one day prove all the politics, plots, schemes, and carnage by the rivalling peoples to be for naught. Victory and defeat can only be measured by whether one has enriched the soil in the garden of blood.
