(l/n) (f/n) is an average first year at Karasuno High, originally planning on just trying to get through the year as fast as possible. However, when her close friend Yamaguchi Tadashi tells her that the boys volleyball team needs an assistant manager, she couldn't help but join. Little did she know that this one decision would later lead to a messy chain of events, causing both Karasuno's members and other powerhouse schools, trying to grab her attention.
