Almost 250 years ago, the planet of Vaeria was united by the Colton Dynasty after a long and bloody war. However it is now 2200 and the last Emperor of the dynasty has passed, leaving the throne without a heir for the first time since the unification. Nobles across the realm jockey for the throne and make deals with each other in order to advance their own goals. The commoners in the People Assembly grow restless and slowly add to their own power. A clash between numerous forces in the Empire is inevitable, the real question becomes, who will seize power and who will control the fate of the Empire as the first ships prepare to leave the home solar system, to explore the depths of space.
