"I seem to do that a lot lately" she whispered, cutting the heavy silence and putting the cotton on the box.

"What?" he whispered back.

She looked at him and smiled, nostalgic. "Stitching you. Patching you up. Healing you and your heart." She softly traced his heart over his shirt and suddenly stopped her movement. "But the more I heal your wounds, the more you break my heart"
