Description
Louise LeBlanc, coming from small town Gonzales, Louisiana, makes a new home for a new life in Tulsa, Oklahoma after her mother wins custody over her and her little sister, Peggy. Despite her father's anger issues, Louise still misses him. As she and her broken family move in with her mother's brother, John Shepherd, and her three cousins, Tim, Curly, and Angela, Louise is exposed to a type of segregation that she has never experienced before. It's Soc against Grease in this town, yet she doesn't see any difference between the squabbling sides. Along with the everlasting rivalry between social classes, Louise battles her addictions to drugs and alcohol, makes a very unusual friendship, and, in the midst of it all, falls in love with a certain someone making a living at a local gas station. It takes an Outsider to untangle what's going on inside.
