hour glass

and just like the flowers that were on our hair,
it falls off, drifts to the ground.
i've always questioned why the world was unfair
for i am the flower, above the world, happiness found
but destiny tries to shake me off you,
and i fall into an abyss of emotions
too much to handle, too frightening to be true
as i land my back a familiar ache, no more resolutions.
