The Forest

Soft breathes can be heard in the large square room, and the beating of two hearts carve a smile on Josephine's face. A young man lies next to Josephine. Running her fingers through his milky blonde hair, she studies him, from his caramel skin, to his warm peach lips, to his long lashes.
"You know it's not polite to stare,"Khason, Josephine's mate yawns, rubbing his forest green eyes.
Josephine's wide smile allows her dimples to show. Rubbing her hand up and down his left arm, she chuckles a reply, "You should be used to it now."
"Mijn geliefde , I don't know if I'll ever get used to this. Us, together, you know?" Khason pulls Josephine into a hug, kissing her temple. The covers that once hugged her body now lay alone on the mattress.
