"Well, then what can I call you?" I asked with a frown. "Calling you Lightning is getting real old real quick." Lightning hummed from the window sill in thought. His blue eyes found mine. "You can call me Icarus," he finally said. My brow furrowed further. "Icarus? But his story is so sad." Lightning stared at me for a beat, uncharacteristically silent. There was something in his eyes that I couldn't quite decipher. An ancient sort of sadness that had my chest hacked open with an axe and filled with nothing but loneliness.
