Description
Daisy and Charlie have grown up together on a farm as neighbors. Their fathers were soldiers in WWI but Charlie's dad died during the war. Leaving him and his mother in the helpful hands of Daisy's family on a farm in Rattan, Oklahoma. Charlie desperately wants Daisy to be his love, but she is engaged to Army Air Pilot William Kenley. Daisy works in a war factory while her fiance fights as a pilot during WWII. Her small income helps keep things afloat on the farm that's in recovery mode from the dust bowl storms. Kenley's letters from the battlefield help keep her dreaming of a future without wars and hardships. While Charlie struggles to accept that Daisy is engaged, he intercepts letters from Kenley to Daisy. He decides to re-write these letters, professing his love for her. When Kenley's letters stop coming, it means only one thing, how will Charlie tell her the truth? Death is looming on the battlefields of Germany as well as on the dusty plains of Oklahoma.
