Literally speaking, the darkest hour in the day is followed by dawn when light begins to shine through the horizon.

Metaphorically speaking, the lowest point in life comes right before things get better.

The phrase itself symbolizes hope and beauty in many ways, but what happens when the light that follows darkness means the end? How does one find hope and beauty in such situation?
