The Prize

The Thing In The Corner watches intently. It waits for you. It wishes and begs for you, dear reader, to hear the story of the one who sold their soul for money, and how far they went to get said soul back.

A person hides in a room, a body laying only metres away from them. They were forced to kill this young man, take their prize, and gift it to The Thing In The Corner. Their reward? They get their soul back.
One thought crosses their mind every minute: "Was it worth it?"
