One car crash changed her life forever. Until the night of the bonfire when her parents' car went off the road killing both her parents. Jessica tries to get back into her old life but decides she needs some time off so she leaves after cheerleading season to travel the world. Cut to the start of Elena's Junior year. Elena meets the sexy, mysterious Stefan Salvatore and he makes her feel like herself after the accident but something still feels like it's missing, until Jessica waltzes back into Mystic Falls but somethings different.
