Prologue

Zaniyah is just a clumsy, wide-eyed, naive 19 year old oblivious to the true horrors of the world.

Alexander is the opposite, being a cop had brought many difficulties and he's still being tortured by the memories of his wife and daughter being killed 2 years ago. Alex resents love, swearing never to fall in love, he's a cold, determined 27 year old.

So when Alexanders old partner retires to be replaced by the lively rookie Zaniyah, Alex starts to be reminded that maybe life really is worth living.
