Europa Gilbert is a new vampire, along with her sister Elena. Living in Mystic Falls, Europa now has to come to terms with her new life and the strain it has on some relationships while it allows others to flourish. In addition to stumbling through the vampiric lifestyle, Europa must also deal with the many mysteries that crop up all around her hometown. To top it all off, parenting a vampire young adult and a vampire-hunting teenager in one house may just win the award for the "most stressful home situation of the year."
