Before you read

"Hey kiddo, where are your parents?" I asked the little figure.
"I ran away. They give lots bruises allllll the time." She answered in a small voice. I looked at her and saw myself, before Dad saved my mother and I from Him.
"What's your name, sweetheart?"
"Quinn."
"Well, Quinn, I'm sure you're hungry, come with me and I'll give you something to eat."
She took my hand and I led her to my car.
